Retrieve by meaning and metadata#

Search matches the request against local semantic understanding and available metadata, such as activities, media types, and dates. A request can describe a memory, like a weekend hike, without knowing a filename or exact label.

Interpret relevance#

A relevance score indicates how well a local result matches the search. It is distinct from Profile strength or Query confidence and should not be treated as a probability about the user.

Search the available local history#

Retrieval runs on the device over media the host app is allowed to access and Rollup has indexed. Search does not send raw media to the context service or expose a remote search endpoint.
