Evidence & confidence
Know what supports an answer before deciding how much to rely on it.
{ "confidence": 0.87, "evidence": { "supporting_moments": 46, "history_months": 32 } }
Confidence#
Confidence communicates the strength of support for the answer, illustrated on a 0–1 scale. It is not a promise of correctness or a calibrated probability. Choose how to use it based on the feature and the cost of a wrong inference.
Question-specific evidence#
Supporting moments count distinct events contributing to the answer. History months describe the span of that evidence. These are aggregate summaries, not references your backend can use to browse the underlying media.
Handle gaps in history#
Limited Photos access, incomplete indexing, and sparse history can all reduce support. A ready Profile does not guarantee that every question is answerable. Use a default experience or ask the user when evidence is weak.
